The Opel Astra G OPC X-treme (named Opel Astra Extreme in-game) is an A Class car featured in Blur. It is a concept car based on the G-series Astra DTM race car.
The Astra Extreme is a manoeuvrable and lightweight vehicle. It is snappy, responsive, planted, and offers a predictable driving experience. Though it makes minor compromises in the Speed category, the car is a monster in the right hands, especially on twisty tracks, despite how relatively easy it is to drive. These traits compliment the Front Runner mod well, but the car's low weight also makes it a viable choice for experienced users of the Drifter mod, as long as the e-brake is held for a little longer to induce a slide. It gains Nitro from drifts relatively easily; however, chaining with it is difficult.
It suffers off-road due to its low ground clearance and stiff suspension.
Overall, this car is a very strong pick, and easily the best Rank 1 car relative to its class.
“Definitely it's good for drifting and good for front running. It's the 3rd most complete vehicle on the game considering Legendary Astra and Shannon's Astra has the 2nd place. Its top speed is not that much of a big deal but definitely anyone can give a really good match with just the default Astra Extreme.” — SOUL-EΛTΞR
“The Astra Extreme feels like a Go-Kart. It's extremely planted and grippy. The car feels very light and is able to drift. The Astra Extreme is one of the best A Class cars for twisty maps like Pacific Reach and LA Downtown. The Astra Extreme is also one of the best FR (Front Runner) cars in A Class.” — sacrolight
“imma be honest, its a great front runner car. it also can drift if you hold the e-brake. it lacks a good top speed tho. thats all i have to say.” — curaa (Xtacy)
“the astra is the ultimate zoomer car. it has good control and it responds extremely well to what you're pressing. if you're doing it right you are insanely fast. if experienced drifter, it can be driftable.” — Ahtene

Unveiled in 2001 at the Geneva Motor Show, the fully operational concept Astra G OPC X-treme is a modified version of the Astra V8 Coupé used in the DTM from 2000-2003. Modifications were made to the bodywork to approve it for road legality, and the engine was retuned, resulting in slightly less peak horsepower but better mid-range torque compared to the DTM Astra.
The vehicle was created by Opel's motorsport subsidiary, the Opel Performance Center, as a way to demonstrate the synergy between standard production and motorsport innovation. Intended to be put into limited production, the Astra X-treme was to sell for a seven-digit figure in Deutsche Marks.
